My first week of arriving at college I got the opportunity to go to Hull Springs Farm. This farm is owned by Longwood University and is a learning environment for select students. I was privileged enough to go as part of the Life-STEM program and it was an amazing experience. Not only did I get to interact with people within my major but I also got to experience things that I never thought I would. Experiences such as exploring an island that is being washed away to sea, or getting a tour of an oyster manufacturing plant. These things were not only amazing but great learning opportunities.
