English 400 was much more than an English class; it also served as a preparation course for interacting and connecting with others professionally in a respectful manner. It also helped me to take a deeper look at all type of content, whether it be written or spoken, there is almost always a deeper meaning than initially meets the eye. I enjoyed writing journals this semester because the application of course concepts to the real world is extremely beneficial in terms of make sense of the content we consume every day. I think that the concepts I learned in this course will help me in the future because I will be able to connect with and understand people more effectively. By understanding the three appeals, ethos, pathos and logos, I will try to apply them to my everyday dialect and become a citizen leader that people respect and hopefully look up to.
