Scholarship

Scholarship allows for personal growth by increasing critical thinking, time management, self-control, and persuasiveness. School and independent studying teach skills useful in a work setting and everyday life. Throughout my time at Longwood University I have learned more than I thought I would have. I was pushed to succeed academically through challenging classes. I learned how to understand legal documents and effectively brief cases. I also improved my ability to conduct research and write persuasively.

Most Important perhaps is the ability to ask for help. I learned that the best work comes from collaboration. Although I may be able to do it myself, others can provide helpful insight or perspectives. I may not agree with what someone else may think but it usually pushes me to improve upon my own work by getting another perspective.
