About Me

I grew up in Williamsburg, Virginia and graduated from Warhill High School. I am a first-generation college student studying Communication Studies as a major and Sociology as a minor at Longwood University. I started attending Longwood in 2016 because I was drawn to the small class sizes and I felt it was the perfect distance from home. I am interning with the Office of Alumni and Carrer Services while taking classes in Farmville and I also work a part-time job while I am home in Williamsburg for summer and winter breaks. I have a younger brother who I consider my best friend and he attends James Madison University. In my free time, I enjoy taking my three dogs on walks, going to the gym, and listening to podcasts about anything from enneagram types to health and fitness.

One of my roles I am most proud of is being the  social media editor for The Rotunda, Longwood’s student news organization. I joined in the fall semester of my freshman year and found a great supportive group of people to work and grow alongside. This position has deepened my passion for journalism and digital storytelling. I have fallen in love with the newsroom workflow and appreciate each role within the organization as we all work together to serve the Longwood and Farmville community.

After graduation, I hope to become a digital media specialist for an organization with an exciting mission. I have a passion for community involvement and helping those in need so I would love

the opportunity to do this through my work.  I try my best to keep an open mind to different career paths and continue to develop different skills along the way.
