Longwood University Student Advisory Board

I became a member of the Student Advisory Board at Longwood University during my sophomore year. This organization is associated with the business school, and works directly with the dean of the College of Business and Economics, Timothy O’Keefe to provide a voice for the business students at Longwood University. The members of the SAB represent the business and economics students as a whole, and we are the link between the students and the dean. We express ideas and concerns, put on events to advertise the business school, and work with Tim O’Keefe to figure out what can be changed to improve the College of Business and Economics. I recently became the Events and Campus Outreach Chair of the Student Advisory Board as well. I am thrilled to be able to represent the business school and advertise the Advisory Board in a creative way.

Alpha Delta Pi- Epsilon Chi Chapter at Longwood University

I also became a member of a sorority on campus, Alpha Delta Pi. I am so thankful that I decided to become a part of such an amazing sisterhood. All of the girls in the sorority are always there for you and support each other no matter what. Upon joining Alpha Delta Pi, I have gotten the chance to meet so many wonderful people within the Longwood campus, and I have also made connections that I would not have made had it not been for joining. This sorority has shown me that it is okay to be yourself, and that you should push to be your very best every day. I have pushed myself out of my comfort zone by joining this sorority, and I am very thankful that I did because it led me to a place where I am pushed to do my very best as well as somewhere where I am sure that everyone has my back no matter what.

Elwood’s Cabinet

I have recently become a member of a service organization on campus known as Elwood’s Cabinet. As a member, I volunteer and help out the community by donating food for people (college students mostly) as well as helping to oversee the hours that the cabinet is open weekly. I have learned a lot about how important it is to help others and put forth your time to volunteer. This service organization has provided for so many people in need and I am very proud to be a member and help my peers.
