Coming to Longwood I was worried about meeting people and friends that I would share all of these new experiences with. Being a part of the Cormier Honors College eased by worries and made the moving in and adjusting process a whole lot smoother. The week before classes started all incoming honors freshman attended an honors retreat where they were able to learn more about themselves and other students just like them. The retreat made me much more comfortable in my new home, create new memories, and meet new friends who helped me all throughout my freshman year. Cormier Honors College created a true sense of community for me as I transitioned into this new and exciting period of my life.
