During this class, some of the major focuses throughout were on discussion, as well as public speaking. When approaching this class, I slowly grew into a mentality of holding myself back from conversations, since I ended up letting myself slip in a lot more than I needed too. One day, Professor Beach pulled me aside and said that I was speaking a lot, and though this wasn’t a massive problem, she would be calling on me less in class so that others would be able to share, which was very understandable. This class taught me that being over-prepared is never a bad idea and that sometimes, you don’t need to be the loudest voice in the room to be heard.
