Community

Community is defined in Webster’s dictionary as “a unified body of individuals” as well as “a group of people with a common characteristic or interest living together within a larger society”. This right here fully embodies my opinion towards the Honors College and all the members within it. This group is a set of people that all have very different interests and goals in life, yet also come together with a love of higher education, a belief that there is more to discover and learn, and a willingness to push ourselves to our absolute limits while staying on the right track of success. For me, the community is not as simple as a name or a title, it is the sort of bond where people that you don’t even know go out of their way to help you out, where they always say hello and see how you are doing, even if they don’t know your name. That is how strong Honor’s community is, and what it means to me.
