MUSC 105: Choral Ensemble I

By taking part in choir, I was able to incorporate my love for music into my life at Longwood. In this course, there were people from many different majors present who had a love for music. We all worked together to  sing in harmony with one another, making this such an amazing time for all of us. We were able to learn four songs in addition to the Longwood University Fight Song, Joan of Arc, and the National Anthem. Throughout this course, I was able to make friendships with others who are as passionate about music as I am. Dr. McDermott was very patient with us learning how to read music. This course has made me excited to continue participating in the choir and future experiences with them.

This is a video from our midterm performance that we gave in the Greenwood Library at Longwood University. We were able to perform the Longwood University Alma Mater and “Song of David” for the library staff and anyone else in the library. This was an amazing opportunity because it allowed us the opportunity to show off everything that we had learned throughout the course of the semester. This video unfortunately only shows part of the Longwood University Alma Mater as I was not allowed to upload the entire video because the file is so large.
