Poetry Reading with Sofia Starnes

Interim is the word I would use the most cautiously,
How precarious its hum,
ear to earth, plumbing earth, earthwise.

Excerpt from “The Soul’s Landscape” (A Commerce of Moments)

Join the Greenwood Library October 3, 2013, at 6 pm for a poetry reading and book signing with Sofia Starnes, Poet Laureate of Virginia. She is the author of five poetry collections. Her chapbook, The Soul’s Landscape, was a co-winner of the Aldrich Poetry Prize. Her book, A Commerce of Moments, won the Editor’s Prize in the 2001 Transcontinental Poetry Award competition.
