This was my study abroad class, which waives Goal 9, though is worthy of talking about. To be completely honest, the main reason I chose this study abroad trip over others was the possibility of cuddling with elephants (and it did not disappoint). Another factor was that I had only taken one economics class before, and would not be required to take another one ever again. Despite what most of us like to think, economics make the world go round. This was my first time traveling to another country not on a mission trip, so I appreciated the fact that we went into the trip with the perspective of learning something while we were there even if we were not giving back to the communities.
