COMM 380

This was a virtual course that taught us all about LGBTQ+ in the media. The professor was very easy going and everyone in the class seemed very interested. The topics were heavy at times, but everyone took the material very seriously and respected other’s opinions when discussing these matters. 

For the most part, the class was movie based. We watched several films and documentaries that portrayed the lack of LGBTQ+ representation in the media and how often tropes are used throughout these films. We even made our own film to prove just how difficult it is! This class gave me the desire to fight for the LGBTQ+ community and their journey to equal rights once and for all.
