In this English course, I was prepared for the writing and research I will do throughout my university experience. I learned to explore, to analyze, and to inform within academic contexts using the most effective rhetorical strategies, structures, reference, and language of multiple disciplines. I identified the strengths and weaknesses in their written communication. I really learned a lot about different types of writing that are more formal compared to what I am used to, which was nice to learn how to do for the future.
I really enjoyed the depth that we covered in this class. We talked about a lot of different information and really analyzed the underlying meaning. The class was pretty small, as it was an all honors class, so that was nice for discussions on our readings and writing strategies. I really enjoyed my professors enthusiasm and critical thinking that she would express during class, which made me want to act the same way in my writing. The one downside would probably be that it got cut short and we had to do a few of the writing assignments on our own because of COVID-19 and it would have been nice to have face to face interactions with those specific assignments, but there was not controlling that what-so-ever.
Below is the final I wrote for this class.
