In this history class, we learned about the continuity and change in American life from 1877 to modern times, with emphasis upon the political, cultural, diplomatic, and societal forces which have shaped its development. We also analyzed historical sources to practice inquiry, construct arguments, and examine historical interpretations.
I thought that this class was pretty interesting, as I have always enjoyed history. My mom is a U.S. history high school teacher, so whenever we go on road trips she makes us stop to see historically significant places, so when we talked about some of them in class I find it even more fascinating. My professor was pretty cool, though she only lectured with only a couple of slides the whole class period, so the key was to take very good notes.
