My name is Kurt Martin, and you can bet that I’m always going to have a smile on my face, and a great attitude. I am a color commentator for the Big South Network on ESPN+, and a staffed sports writer for Longwood University’s only student news organization, The Rotunda. I also commentate Division I sports contests for Longwood’s own radio station WMLU.
I am aspiring to be either a sports journalist or an on-air sports broadcaster. Through my experiences at Longwood, I feel that I’m directly chasing that career path. When I go to work, I expect the most out of myself, each and every time, and always hold myself to a high standard with the caliber of work that I do. Critique is vital in my mind, as I need to constantly have feedback, and know my current level of performance to really know what I want to improve on.
I am looking to bring a bright and smiling personality, that can also work hard through tough times and produce the best content possible to meet higher-level standards.
