I attending the 2019 Annual Convention as voting delegate for Virginia, I represented the Virginia Nurses’ Student Association, as well as, Longwood’s Student Nursing Association. I had the opportunity to learn more about the importance of leadership and policy within the career in nursing. Innovation and perseverance are crucial factors that many successful nurses have and allow them to excel. Attending information sessions and the voting sessions were major learning experiences for me.
