SOC 331

SOC 331:
I truly enjoyed Aging in the Life Course with Dr. Pederson. I felt like it was a course that as very relevant to my future as a nurse in the health care setting and I tried to take every bit of info and relate it to things that I have already learned in my nursing courses. Learning of age discrimination and natural steps of aging allowed me to apply my prior knowledge and to build onto it with a sociology perspective.

Artifact Description:
‘Living Through the Decades in Norfolk, Virginia: An Oral History’ was an oral history poster I created based on an interview I completed with my maternal grandmother. The oral history was not only important to me to have a background and history of my grandmother, but also it gave me an opportunity to learn the concepts we were presented throughout the course and apply them to someone we love.
