ENG 201:
English 201 or World Literature fulfilled goal 3. This course was a challenge for me, as well as an excellent learning experience. The course was strongly based in literature and writing, and for me writing as always been a hurdle to get through. Throughout Spring 2018 semester I was able to push myself. I put my best foot forward and tried my hardest to write the best essays that I could. The course allowed us to explore different culture around the world through literature, and the I believe the professor did an amazing just keeping focused and making it interesting. I believe I learned a lot that I would never have before.

Artifact Description:
This document was one of the first essays we needed to write in English 201. Our prompt was to find two sides to a story based on a setting, character, or plot in one piece of literature. I choose to to focus on the setting of the ancient religious work of the Ramayana. This paper was important to me specifically because I am trying to advance my writing skills and challenge myself. As for this class, it was crucial for us to create this piece in order to have the ideas we have discussed in lecture was transferred to student’s writing.
