Comprehension and Vocabulary Textbook
I chose Comprehension and Vocabulary Strategies for the Elementary Grade because it was recommended to me by a previous partnership student. I absolutely love this book and all of the ready to go resources. It is a great book to look at for ideas when you are feeling stuck. You can find my notes on the book below.
Writing Book
Lessons that Change Writers has some great activities, but also had some drawbacks. I got this book because it is great with older students, and that is the age group I am interested in teaching. I think some of the things are outdated, like the use of overhead transparencies (I have not seen those since I was in third grade). You can find my notes below.
