One of the core aspects of Honors is getting involved in the Longwood community. In my first year at Longwood, I have gotten involved in a couple of on-campus organizations. I am a member of the Environmental Club, which promotes environmental awareness around campus, Alpha Lambda Delta, a national honor society for first year students, and HSA, an organization of Honors students that promotes the welfare of Longwood and the Cormier Honors College. This year, I was elected President of the Environmental Club. In addition to these organizations, I’ve gotten to know a lot of great people through Honors and my major. As a smaller school, Longwood has a strong sense of community that I enjoy being a part of.
