A course requirement for Longwood University Communication Studies is Public Relations Writing, which is an advanced experience in public relations writing, principles, and concepts. During this course we were taught how to write different types of reports that would be used or found within the public relations field. One of the projects had to be a tri-fold flyer for a location, company or event of our choice. I chose to do one on the local Twin Lakes State Park located in Farmville Virginia. I researched events that happen in their park and the activities that they provide for the public. I used pictures of the park to be graphic with the location and offered a map for the location of the Park for the general public. I took time formatting and decorating the tri-fold to make it visually appealing to the viewer. This project was meaningful to me because it taught me what my strengths in writing in my field.
