I am a highly qualified candidate for this position because of the skill set that I possess. As of this upcoming May, I will be a Longwood University graduate with a Liberal Studies degree; I will also have a minor in Psychology. As a Liberal Studies major, I have gained an extensive knowledge about many subjects that are taught at the elementary school level. Through my education, I have also had opportunities to observe, work with, and teach children within the classroom setting. Having a Psychology minor has given me an insight into the basics of the subject, with an emphasis on human growth and development. These educational achievements, combined with the skills that I have gained through job experiences, make me an outstanding candidate for this position.
Throughout the years, I have had the opportunity to enhance my soft skills through the means of work experience and also involvement in college organizations. Working as a cashier and a sales associate gave me the opportunity to expand my communication skills, refine my organizational skills and improve my stability as an employee. Working with children has been an experience in which I have been able to gain or improve many skills that prove to be beneficial in the work setting and also as major life skills. I have been able to gain or refine my creativity, positivity, conflict resolution, planning, detail orientation, and responsibility skills through working with children throughout the years. I am a well-rounded individual and I possess abilities that exemplify this through the quality of my work performances.
