A list of courses I have taken that has enhanced my Communication Studies most

ENGL 150 – Writing and Research – This course has given me the opportunity to enhance the collection of information and write the results of my research in a professional manner.

ENGL 201 – World Literature – In this course I was assigned many advanced readings from all around the world and reflect on these readings. This course enhanced my skills in the way I obtain my information and the way i process my own ideas from the stories written.

HIST 150 Historical Inquiry I – This course makes students think about different cultures based on previous historical civilizations. I have developed a new way of thinking and connecting events in this course and able to communicate my thinking’s through my writings.

COMM 101 – Public Speaking – Before this course I wasn’t a very good at speaking in front of others. But thanks to this course I have developed a new skill of comfortably speaking in front of others and effectively communicate my thoughts and research verbally.

COMM 141 – Introduction to Media Writing – In this course, students learn how to write stories in different medias. I have learned how to professionally write in different sources such as websites, newspapers, and even social media.

COMM 200 – Introduction to Communication Studies – This course gives students the knowledge about the actual communication theories and processes of verbal and nonverbal communications.  I have picked up different ways of expressing myself through verbal and nonverbal communication in order to effectively explain myself.

COMM 360 – Contemporary Practices in Communications – Creating a professional version of yourself and creating your own personal brand is what this course entails. This course has helped me the most by enhancing the way I present myself professionally and create professional connections.
