My primary focus is on Gothic literature and its functions throughout the centuries and how the definition of Contemporary Gothic and “current Gothic” are ever-changing and adapting to the societal constructs and trauma of the time.
My name is Jaiden Ivey and I am a senior at Longwood University studying English at the undergraduate level.
As a student at Longwood University I spent a lot of time studying Gothic literature with Dr. Brock-Servais and conducted an independent study with her and another fellow Gothic literature enthusiast to identify the contemporary Gothic.
