World Language Perspectives

World Language Perspectives is a Perspective requirement that focuses on teaching the student a language, while teaching them about the culture associated with that language. I took SPAN-212 to satisfy this requirement, and while I have always enjoyed Spanish, I particularly loved this course. My professor was very willing to speak to us in Spanish to give me practice, and I think they class structure was very fitting to how I learn.

An assignment that I particularly enjoyed was one where I had to watch a short film and answer various questions about it afterwards. These kinds of assignments really engage me and I enjoy being able to understand something being spoken in an entirely different language.
