This course was a very unexpected addition to my schedule. Signups came up quick, and I figured “why not?” This course was a study abroad opportunity in which we worked together with students from the Netherlands. This was an incredible opportunity and I have never worked with people from another country like this. I learned a lot about video creating and editing, and got a lot of good communication and teamwork practice.
My favorite part of this course was simply getting to interact with people who live on the other side of the world. Talking to them and seeing how similar we all are and learning the differences between our worlds.
The following word document is a final interview I conducted with one of my Dutch teammates that just answered a few final random questions that I still had about her country. I think the biggest takeaway I had from this experience is that people are very similar everywhere. Every country has their differences, but it was very easy to find common ground with our Dutch classmates.
