Citizen 410 is a senior level course growing on the ideals of citizen 110, which are to create citizen leaders. With many different sections and topics available for this course, the one that fit into my schedule was Queer Virginia. The best part about college is learning a broad, diverse subject matter, and using the course material to expand your knowledge and critical thinking skills. This course not only taught me a subject matter not usually covered in education, but it had unique coursework that I was not previously exposed to being a Finance major. I worked as an editor for our class website, and even learned basic video creating/editing skills for a project.
As a group, we had to create a webpage for the website, and this assignment was interesting because I learned a great deal about a side of Farmville that I hadn’t known about, as well as using skills that I don’t get to often in my major.
