This course was entitled Society and Monsters, and it focused mostly on the readings of past monsters. The objective was to analyze these writings of “monsters” to define what exactly a monster is. My takeaway from this course was that it taught me critical thinking and analysis skills. These skills allow me to better make my own decisions, and come to a reasonable conclusion using evidence. During this course I participated in a panel that brought the course material together with a public speaking opportunity that was a new experience for me. This is the paper I used to prepare for the panel.
