Hunter’s Story

Hi, I am Hunter Stinnett and welcome to my E-Portfolio! I am from a small area called Amherst County located in Central Virginia. I grew up on my family’s farm which I believe played a role in creating my love for all animals. I am currently pursuing my undergraduate degree in Communication Studies with a concentration in Public Relations and a double minor in English and Children’s Literature at Longwood University. I chose to attend Longwood because of its close-knit community and professor to student ratio. I wanted to attend a school where my professors knew me, and I was not just a number in a classroom. I plan to graduate in May of 2020 and pursue a career in event planning or public relations. I love helping make someone’s dreams a reality and seeing smiles on people’s faces.

Honesty and respect are two traits I value greatly. I believe you must be honest and respectful to everyone you interact with, even if your opinion is different from theirs. Personally, I believe organization and structure are the keys to success. I work hard to ensure that everything I do has some form of organization and structure, may it be color coding and labels, or checklist and to do list. I find great pride in knowing exactly where things are and when things need to be completed through my organizational skills.
