Virginia Children’s Book Festival 

In October of 2018, I had the opportunity to volunteer at the Virginia Children’s Book Festival held on the campus of Longwood University. I was assigned to be a room monitor which meant I was in charge of counting how many guests came to the section as well as keeping the noise level of the guest down. While volunteering I had the opportunity to sit in on Marc Brown‘s session who is the author and illustration of the Arthur book series.

Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA)

In November of 2018, I volunteered at the MDA‘s Passport to a Cure Gala in Richmond, VA. I assisted by showing guest to the registration desk as well as helping guest register for the online silent auction via their cell phones. This was a wonderful opportunity for networking as well as helping to raise money for a wonderful non-profit.
