Writing and Rhetoric
Spring 2019
Improving both as a writer and a reader, Writing and Rhetoric was an invaluable course that assisted me in my various other courses throughout the semester. This course began by teaching students the basics of writing and grammar, including how to properly cite sources in MLA format. This portion of the course was extremely helpful, as I found myself writing several papers and will continue to find myself writing many papers throughout my college career. Through this course, I was also able to learn how to improve my writing through the use of rhetorical devices and systems, which even further aided me in my writing for other classes for assignments both large and small.
Showcasing the skills that everyone had learned, students were tasked with writing a short fictional story, found below. This fictional story was, in my opinion, one of the most enjoyable assignments of the semester, as the many skills that we had learned throughout the semester could be displayed in just one piece.
