Longwood is a very small school located in a very small town.  Because of this, Longwood has become my home away from home.  My home base is my honors family.  The first four days on campus we were forced to interact with each other and it may have seemed silly but it established some of the best friendships I have.  My hall mates became my best friends.  We suffered together, laughed together, joked together, and formed lifelong friendships all within the first half of the first semester.  Then we branched out from our honors family to other communities on campus.  I joined the Longwood and Hampden-Sydney Baptist Collegiate Ministries.  This gave me the opportunity to worship and fellowship with other Christians once a week and take a break from the school work.   I also joined Sigma Alpha Omega Sorority and I now have a group of sisters to rely on and have fun with.  I enjoy the small school atmosphere because it allows me to form life-long friendships with some of the best people around.
