When most people hear scholarship, they think of money they were awarded to help aid their payments for school. The Cormier Honors College does give students some aid, but that is not what the pillar means. Scholarship for the Honors College means what happens in the classroom. It the different experience honors classes give compared to regular classes.
In my English class, the basis of the class was basically the same, but each week there was a research assignment about what book we were reading. The professor would assign some of us scholarly articles that related to our assigned reading. Giving his students articles to read gave them ideas for what to write for the midterm paper and the final exam paper.
