Goal 11: Fitness Concepts (PHED 101)

This class was about how different exercises affect different body parts and muscles. We were also required to keep biweekly reflections about steps taken during the weeks. I accomplished the goal of 70,000 steps almost every week. Having soccer practice twice a week helped because on those days I achieved well over 10,000 steps.

In the reflection below, I saw the difference between my steps at home versus at school. I took a lot fewer steps while I was at home than at school since I can walk to most places that I like to go to. At home, I have to drive at least 15 minutes to get to things like fast food, gas station, or cell service. We also had an additional assignment to add pictures of unsafe areas to walk. I included pictures walking from Lancer Park to campus. There were many places that the areas were very dim, and some sidewalks in those areas were broken. It showed me how careful I have to be next year when I live in Lancer Park.
