Assistant to the Audiologist at the Speech, Hearing, and Learning Services (SHLS)

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Disseminate audiology patient reports to physicians, schools, etc. in coordination with front-office staff
  • Scan all audiology patient records into electronic medical record system
  • Prepare audiology observation opportunities for fellow graduate students
  • Assist in the coordination of hearing screenings
  • Assist in teaching labs for Introduction to Audiology and Hearing Science course (CSDS 361)
  • Position open to students in the CSD master’s program

Home-based Counseling Project Assistant

Spring 2018
Non-standard part-time

  • Assist in the development, organization, and implementation of a new course on home-based (in-home) counseling to be taught in Richmond during the summer of 2018.
  • Locate primary literature sources on home-based counseling and compile the material for class use once permissions have been secured.
  • This Graduate Assistant may assist with marketing the course and monitoring student attendance (or other non-teaching responsibilities) during the class.
  • Knowledge of the counseling field required.
  • This GA must be able to work 250 hours from March through July, 2018.
