The Graduate Assistant will serve as the Coordinator for Student Programming and Outreach in the Honors College. In that capacity, s/he will work directly with Honors students by providing development programs, events with faculty members, and community-building activities, all of which support their personal and professional growth and thereby work to complement university-wide efforts to increase retention and student success. S/he also will facilitate regular volunteer and/or service-learning activities in the Southside and Northern Neck communities. At a very fundamental level, this work directly supports our institutional mission of developing citizen leaders prepared to make real contributions to the greater good of society.
