In my rhetorical analysis I wrote about the technological gap that many children and their families face throughout the United States. In this assignment I practiced the skills of communication by writing concisely and expressing ideas to argue that there is indeed a problem as 70 percent of teachers expect students who lack computers to get homework assignments done using these devices. I used Logos, Ethos, and Pathos in this assignment which we learned about in class. I am still working on using these concepts effectively. This assignment required a peer evaluation where we were to provide appropriate feedback to help our friends in class through sensitive means. This analysis used the learning outcomes of choosing appropriate formats in writing for a variety of purposes and analyzing the effectiveness of our own texts and processes for specific rhetorical situations.
