One of my favorite memories of MUSC 100 was going in person to see musical performances. i’ve always loved listening to classical music, so I was really excited to hear the Lynchburg Symphony Orchestra play. If I had to pick though, going to the opera was the highlight.

Dr. Swanson has a tradition of taking his students to the opera, and for my class, we went all the way to Richmond to see The Boheme. I had never seen a live opera before, so I didn’t know what to expect at first, but it exceeded my expectations. Not only did it have a great story line that almost had me in tears by the end, but the actors and actresses were extremely talented. It was something that I will never forget.
