Being in an honors LSEM class had its positives and negatives. At first, it was hard not being in an LSEM class with people of my major, but being surrounded by fellow honors students made it worth it. I enjoyed the time spent with my LSEM class, but the highlight was definitely the community service we did for our outreach assignment. Going to FACES and volunteering at their food bank gave me a better sense of what the community in Farmville was like. It also gave me a chance to bond with some of the other other honors students, and was a great opportunity.
