Having played violin for several years, I thought that a music appreciation course would be a fun and interesting class to learn more about music. In this class, not only did we learn about different composers and musical time periods, but we also had a listening quiz everyday where we had to recognize the name of a piece from listening to a short section of it. Near the end of the course, we did group projects where we would study the music in a sci-fi movie: including Interstellar, Gravity, and 2001: A Space Odyssey. Overall, I enjoyed learning about music in this class.
