I grew up in a household that always preached to be yourself, and to be happy no matter what life throws at you. That is why I decided to begin my journey at Longwood! Longwood promoted my happiness and it is truly my home, and I can completely be myself 100% of the time. Communication studies is what I decided to pursue, because I have a passion for interacting with people. I love talking with people, as well as writing for the public, and being able to use my voice to inform the public.
My values that are most important to me are to always be kind and hardworking. I believe that those values can bring me far in life and accomplish many things. Being around people brings me complete joy. Digital storytelling is a passion I have as well, I love being able to tell a story about something, completely from my imagination. The most valued experience I have regarding communications is attending the 2016 VP debate. I was able to work with my university’s social media team to create content to market the debate itself. That was a once in a lifetime experience that I will always remember.
