Belonging to honors has made all the difference in the world in helping me navigate my first year at Longwood. I did not know what honors was going to be like when I signed up, so I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered all its benefits. The sense of community within honors has gotten me through this first year. The honors faculty work around the clock to make each new student feel welcome and valued. The honors retreat in August allowed me to meet so many people in such a short period of time, making the start of classes a breeze. I am so grateful to all the honors faculty and students who have organized ways to welcome and support each other and I now know I am prepared to be resource to future honors students.
