Quantitative or Scientific Perspectives- MATH 304

In mathematics history (MATH 304), Dr. Emerson-Stonnell taught us about how mathematics was developed throughout history and why it was so important to ancient civilizati0n. One of the biggest question everyone always asks is why do we need to know mathematics and because of this course I feel like I finally have a true answer. Mathematics is important to everything we do including trading, religion, technological developments and so on. Because of this course, I now can tell so people how important mathematics is to life and show them why as well.

One of the biggest things we had to do in this course is research a civilization in order to describe the mathematics that was developed their and how each mathematician developed the mathematics they did. Below you can see the PowerPoint that my group created to describe the renaissance period in Europe and the mathematics that was developed their.
