Last week we introduced you to Screencast-O-Matic, a versatile screen capture tool recommended and supported by the Digital Education Collaborative. What makes this software increasingly useful to the Longwood University community is our site license to the Pro Recorder. Recall that all users have access to basic features with a free account and may upgrade to the receive pro features. By contacting the DEC, Longwood users have access to the Pro Recorder to fulfill an educational need.
For a review of the basic recording functionality of Screencast-O-Matic’s Pro Recorder, please see last week’s #TechTipThursday. This week’s post reviews the editing tools available to users, regardless of account type.
To follow along with our tutorial, you’ll need access to a previously recorded Screencast-O-Matic capture. To watch our video tutorial highlighting all of the editing tools available, please click below.
If you’d like to request access to Longwood University’s site license to the Pro Recorder, or already have access and need additional assistance, please contact the Digital Education Collaborative.
