One of the requirements for my degree is to participate in an internship. During the 2021 summer, I had the opportunity to work with my county’s Commonwealth Attorney’s office. Part of my duties as an intern for the attorney’s was to complete typical office activities such as copying, scanning and filing paperwork. I also got to go to court with different attorneys in the different types of court. This experience helped me apply some of the knowledge that I learned from my courses and get an in-person experience of the judicial system. This internship helped me realize that I want to help people in troubled situations and pursue a career in victims advocacy or witness protection.
