My name is Chris Belote and I’m a full time student at Longwood University. I am a communication studies major with a concentration in public relations. I am currently a senior looking forward to graduating this coming May. Before transferring to Longwood 3 years ago, I was a student at Virginia Wesleyan College (now University) with an undecided major. I chose to go into communication studies when I transferred because it encompasses two of my favorite things, relating to people, and speaking to the public.

Since transferring to Longwood University, I have grown both academically and emotionally as a person. I’ve maintained a Dean’s List status since my first semester and I’ve also gotten involved with programs outside my classes. At one point, I was even the co-host for the radio show, The Acoustic Café! Here at Longwood, I’ve gained many lifelong friends, as well as mentors. As graduation approaches, I hope to finish fine-tuning my skills as a public relations professional and show the world that I’m ready to be a key part in whatever company I end up working with moving forward!
