Community
One of the pillars of the Cormier Honors College is community. As I mentioned in the community tab, honors classes allow for a more intimate learning experience. The main way that the honors college allows for community is in Wheeler Hall. I was lucky to be able to live in Wheeler for my first year at Longwood. Although the year got cut short, in the time I was there, I was able to make a lot of great connections and friendships within Wheeler. Having a group of first-year students living all around me made me feel much more at home as we were all in the same boat. I was also able to make a lot of friendships with students on other floors. I had a lot of great experiences in Wheeler and with my fellow honors students in my freshman year.
