Reli 242: World Religions
This was a very interesting course and it taught me a lot about culture and religion. We studied five major world religions (Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam) and I was able to gain valuable knowledge about people around the world. I really enjoyed learning about the ways that the average person practices their respective religions. Learning this allowed me to understand the religions more fully and to be more aware of how they are practiced and why they are practiced the way they are. This course provided me with world knowledge that will be helpful when I travel or come into contact with people who practice these five major religions. Cultural knowledge is always beneficial, and I am very glad I was able to take this course and learn about these five major world religions.
For my artifact, I included my oral presentation on Transcendental Meditation. Each student was asked to sign up for a topic and give a 5-10 minute presentation on that topic. Religion Oral Presentation
