In Tales of The Frontier we read many different books about new frontiers. We studied mostly North American frontiers from early settlement to Westward expansion. We had many class discussions about the reading and were able go more in depth about what life would have been like for a person exploring a new frontier. During these discussions we were also able to talk about how there were many different kinds of frontiers that didn’t have to do with literal exploration on land.

My final paper assignment was to write about any frontier. I chose to do Alternative Therapy Using Theatre Techniques because I felt as though it was a fairly new concept. Using different theatrical concepts, participants are able to gain life skills in a way that they never had before.
