Community Service

Community service has always been something important to me, my mom showing me at a young age how important it is to help others, even giving me chances to volunteer with her during the summer (2012) when she came back to the states. Sadly, I have been unable to find other chances to help in later years, as well as helping at the community at Longwood yet, but I hope soon to be able to do some volunteer work in the coming years. There was an attempt to volunteer at the horse barn near the University who work with young kids with special needs. It was unfortunate that I could not volunteer because my classes let out too late, but I will be looking for chances in these next three years to offer help in any ways I can.   ~ Ariel Birkholz, 2020
